10 years of Ayushmann Khurrana: A look at his impressive unconventional roles | Bollywood Bubble

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana who stepped into Bollywood with vicky donor also starring Yami Gautam doesn’t need any introduction. He is hot and handsome and his movies are simply relatable. Ayushmann is one of the bankable actors in Bollywood. Interestingly, after making his Bollywood debut, Ayushmann ensured to choose those unconventional movies that are laced with comedy. Well, as the actor has completed 10 years in the industry, we thought of giving a look back at his filmography where he has amazed everyone by choosing some unconventional roles.

Take a look at the Ayushmann Khurrana movies here:

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020): It takes a lot of guts to not only play a homophobic character but also to play it with a lot of conviction. Kudos to Ayushmann for actually getting out of his comfort zone and trying something new for the audience. The movie is based on LGBTQ where a homophobic couple fight with society and their regressive thinking.

Bala (2019): Ayushmann talks about premature balding in the film and man, it resonated with a lot of people. He tried to bring out the concern via his films and it actually did wonders with many. In the era where a hero is supposed to look hot and handsome in the movie, Ayushmann chose a de-glamourous look in Bala.

Dream Girl (2019): Another great example of playing an unconventional role. Ayushman was not just the hero but also the Heroine. In the movie, the actor essayed the role of a man who can imitate the voice of a woman.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021): In the movie, Ayushmann essays the role of a gym trainer who can be the epitome of male chauvinism. However, his life takes a different turn when he falls in love with a trans girl. You don’t see stars playing such kinds of roles but Ayushmann has definitely crushed the mainstream hero image in Bollywood.

Andhadhun (2018): One of the conventional picks of the actor has to be Andhadhun. The actor played a pianist who pretends to be blind; however, his action only lands him in great trouble. The actor even bagged a National Award for this film.

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017): The film is about a man facing erectile dysfunction. Though it is an important concern, Ayushmann plays it beautifully. It is commendable for him to accept the role without giving it a second thought as erectile dysfunction is still taboo in India.

Vicky Donor (2012): Khurrana made his entry into Bollywood with a bang. He made it quite clear that he is here to showcase some unconventional roles with full commercial touch. Another taboo subject that opted to star is Vicky Donor which is about a man who donates his specimen in order for some money.
