Oxygen said that TV versions of films are made by studios and approved by directors, after which edits cannot be made — meaning that TV cut of the film was likely from close to when the film came out in 1999. Oxygen promised to have the studio (in this case, Sony) re-cut the film, and a “network insider” close to E! stated that E! would likely do the same.
