As the holiday season comes to a close, two Los Angeles County hospitals are hoping to find family members for two unidentified patients.

One man has been in the hospital for more than six weeks. The other was hospitalized last week.

One John Doe, identified as a Latino male around 60 years of age, was found on a downtown Los Angeles sidewalk on Dec. 21. He was experiencing a seizure, according to a Dignity Health press release.

The man had no documentation or evidence that could identify him, but Dignity Health described him as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He has no tattoos or scars, but has a possible history of a seizure disorder, according to the press release.

That John Doe is at Dignity Health – California Hospital Medical Center, in downtown LA.

Anyone with information can contact Dignity Health at 213-765-7775 or 213-507-7412.

More than a month earlier, on Nov. 12, a White man who is 40 to 50 years old was found near East Fourth Street and Walnut Avenue in Long Beach. He is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs around 200 pounds, and has blue eyes and short, light brown hair.

The man has two moles on his face, according to the press release, one above the right eye and one to the side of his right eye. He is also wearing a Star of David necklace.

He is at Dignity Health — St. Mary Medical Center, in Long Beach.

If anyone has information on that man, they can call 562-491-9381 or 562-499-7099.

Lysa Barry, a spokesperson for Dignity Health hospitals in Southern California, said the John Does are in “relatively good health” and the hospitals have been searching for their families since before Christmas.

But “they do not know where they are,” she said of the Does, and may have some form of amnesia.

Many families missing a loved one normally search the nearest hospitals, Barry said, but those who are homeless can wander far into neighboring counties.
