2023 Maruti Ertiga Black Edition Top Variant Manual – Walkaround

As part of 40th anniversary celebrations, Maruti Suzuki launched special packages for most of its vehicles, one of which is Ertiga Black Edition

Ertiga is one of those vehicles which has had a significant impact in the MPV segment since launch. It is the highest-selling MPV in India. Now Ertiga has received a special Black Edition to celebrate Maruti’s 40th anniversary.

For starters, Pearl Midnight shade is part of Black Edition and doesn’t cost anything over regular colours. It is offered in limited trim levels in a respective Arena model. For example, only ZXi and ZXi+ trim levels of Brezza got Black Edition. Let’s take a look at everything new with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Black Edition.

Unlike some special Editions from Tata Motors, Black Edition package from Maruti Suzuki doesn’t bundle any additional feature or functionality. It is the good ol’ Ertiga which received a facelift in 2022, that we have come to love, in a swanky new colour. Maruti calls it Pearl Midnight Black and it enhances Ertiga’s overall appeal exponentially.

The chrome elements that come fitted from factory play beautifully with this Pearl Midnight Black which radiates a premium aura. Even the dual-tone wheels blend in with Ertiga Pearl Ertiga to establish an upmarket feel. Ertiga is among the eight Maruti Suzuki cars that are sold via Arena dealerships offered with Black Edition. Others are Celerio, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, WagonR, S-presso and Alto K10. All of them get a pearl Midnight Black shade. On the inside, all of these vehicles are kept similar. No playful red elements or additional sporty black treatments. Plain ol’ Maruti Suzuki cars that we are familiar with.

Ertiga Black Indulge Package Worth Rs. 23,990

If plain ol’ Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is not what you’re after, the company offers an Indulge Package worth Rs. 23,990 along with Black Edition. This package contains seat upholstery with diamond quilting worth Rs. 9,757, metallic door sill guards worth Rs. 2,350, all-weather 3D mat worth Rs. 3,550, an armrest bezel worth Rs. 8,000, side body moulding worth Rs. 3,989 and many more.

All these come together in establishing a unique Eritiga which is loaded with a lot of factory accessories. However, it is not yet sure whether one could choose individual elements from this Indulge Package.

Specs & Features

Features list on an Ertiga has become a lot more appealing than it was at its inception a decade ago. Today, top-spec Ertiga come equipped with 4 airbags (Driver, co-driver, and Front Seat side), 3-Star crash safety rating by Global NCAP, a 7-inch screen with updated Smart Play Pro user interface and “Hi Suzuki” voice command with an onboard assistant.

Also offered is Suzuki Connect 40+ telematics features with smartwatch integration, automatic climate control, steering mounted controls, cruise controls and more. The sole 1.5L 4 cylinder NA petrol K15C engine makes 101.65 bhp and 136.8 Nm with the petrol-only configuration. In petrol-CNG configuration, it develops 99.2 bhp and 136 Nm on petrol and 86.6 bhp and 121.5 Nm on CNG. A 5-speed MT or a 6-speed AT are offered.
