2023 NBA draft prospects who Rockets have interviewed or worked out

Leading up to the 2023 NBA draft on June 22, the Houston Rockets will be heavily scouting prospects near the top of the draft pool. As of now, they own their first-round pick (in the top-six selections, pending the May 16 draft lottery) along with one via the Los Angeles Clippers at No. 20. Trades are certainly possible, as well.

But for general manager Rafael Stone, his scouting work will extend well beyond perceived first-round prospects. For example, the Rockets could trade for a later draft slot, as they did in 2020 when they bought a second-round pick to acquire KJ Martin. Or they could use intelligence from the scouting process to acquire an undrafted free agent, as they did in 2021 when bringing in Daishen Nix.

With that in mind, Stone and the Rockets are casting an extremely wide net on potential candidates to join the team. Based on various interviews, social media posts, media reports, and information from our friends at Rookie Wire, here’s a look at who has interviewed or worked out with Houston during the 2023 pre-draft process.

The volume of interviews and workouts will accelerate starting around May 15, which is when the draft combine opens in Chicago.
