The XT4 — which was introduced in 2018 as a 2019 model — will be offered in Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trims and feature updated grilles, refined vertical LED headlights and three new exterior color options. The Premium Luxury and Sport trims each have unique wheels, fascia and other design elements.
Lizzy Dinnella, Cadillac’s assistant marketing manager for the XT4, told reporters last week that the freshened XT4 represents a significant midcycle update for the crossover and should help continue attracting new and younger customers to the brand.
“The exterior design has really never been a problem for this vehicle,” she said. “It’s consistently what we see as a top reason for purchase, and now it’s just that much better.”
On the inside, the electric Cadillac Lyriq crossover was the inspiration for a new instrument panel displayed on a 33-inch LED curved touch screen. The system can be customized to individual users’ preferences, Cadillac said. The XT4 has built-in functionality with Google and will be compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa. It also offers 5G wireless hot spot connectivity.
Dinnella said the touch screen is “pulled straight from our EV future.”
