Land Rover has announced a variety of updates and adjustments for the 2024 Range Rover, the most notable of which sit under the hood at the top end of the trim spectrum.

The top-end luxury SV P615’s 4.4-litre V8 uses mild hybrid tech to crank out 606 horsepower, with torque staying at 553 lb-ft — grunt enough to motivate it to 96 km/h in 4.3 seconds. But its engine isn’t the only plant to get dug up and replanted: the plug-in hybrid P550e’s engine has also undergone some changes, now boasting a 215-hp electric motor that pushes with the gasser for a combined 542-hp output. Zero-to-100 km/h for the PHEV happens in 5.0 seconds, 0.5 seconds quicker than the outgoing model.

Improvements to onboard tech include the new Pivi Pro infotainment system that runs through a 13.1-inch centre screen or via the built-in Alexa Voice system. Adaptive cruise has been updated and renamed “country road assist” for those smaller two-lane byways, and the Range Rover now also uses the Sport’s Dynamic Response Pro system that helps with roll control.

Being a part of the luxury segment, Land Rover needed to go the extra mile with its latest Rangie. Thus, there are also additional ways for fancy people to fancify their SUVs with the SV Bespoke service, available only on Autobiography or SV models. Buyers can add custom touches at the SV Bespoke Commissioning Suite in the U.K., in person or virtually. The program grants access to over 391 material colour schemes and over 230 paint options, but it will also paint-to-match if you have a particular shade in mind.
