Draymond Green is heading to free agency, giving other teams at least a chance of poaching the veteran forward from the Golden State Warriors.
According to Yahoo’s Jake Fischer, at least three teams are expected to pursue Green, two from the Western Conference and one from the Eastern.
Fischer named the Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons as teams to watch.
“The Kings and head coach Mike Brown stealing Draymond Green from the Warriors would be quite the story, while Portland and Detroit are also expected to make plays for Green, sources said. Although all indications continue to point to Green returning to the franchise he’s won four championships with,” Fischer wrote.
Fresh intel notebook just dropped @YahooSports. The forward market is crowded after John Collins' trade to Utah, including Indiana, Orlando, Sacramento. The latest on Kyle Kuzma and KJ Martin. Plus other dominos teams are waiting to see fall in succession: https://t.co/xW7AiAj1CX

Multiple insiders have mentioned the Kings as a possibility for Draymond, and the four-time All-Star is reportedly part of Damian Lillard’s “dream” roster scenario for the Trail Blazers.
As for the Pistons, they’re probably banking on luring Green, a Saginaw, Michigan native and Michigan State alum, with the opportunity to return home.
Of course, everybody also still seems to expect Draymond back with the Warriors when all is said and done, even though he turned down his player option with the team to explore the free agent market.
