76ers point guard James Harden is picking up his $35.6 million player option and working with the Philadelphia organization to explore trade options ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season, per ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The expectation following this move is that Harden has played his last game with the Sixers.

So, where could the three-time scoring champion be off to next?

Here are three possible trade options for The Beard:

Houston Rockets

A reunion in Houston would make a lot of Rockets fans happy. Over the last couple seasons, the Rockets have been one of the worst teams in the league. But with a new head coach in Ime Udoka and an exciting crop of up-and-coming talent, Harden could be intrigued by the opportunity to return to the place where he played nine NBA seasons.

Los Angeles Clippers

Despite already boasting superstar talents Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Clippers have struggled to find any real postseason success with this duo. Leading the NBA in assists as a secondary scoring option behind Joel Embiid this past season, Harden showed his ability to fit into an offense with other star talent.

The Clippers have reportedly already expressed interest in a trade for Harden, per Kyle Neubeck.

New York Knicks

The Knicks are coming off one of their best seasons in recent memory, making a trip to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. As one of the biggest markets in the league, New York always draws interest from big-name players. Plus, Harden already has experience with the area from his time in Brooklyn.
