However, in order to start your day right, it’s important to have a balanced and nutritious breakfast. Here are some breakfast recipes by Bohra you can try at home in summer season.
1. A summery twist to regular dalia
Ingredients
1 cup wheat dalia
1 cup curd
2 chopped mango or any 1 fruit of your choice
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp roasted sunflower seeds
Dalia recipe
– Take 1/4 cup lapsi wheat dalia, 1/4 cup chilki green moong/yellow moong dal.
– Rinse 2-3 times.
– Add 1/4 tsp salt and pressure cook till 3-4 whistle and slow cook for 5 minutes.
– Let it cool and then add all other ingredients
– Can prepare this previous night and keep for a quick breakfast too
– Mix and enjoy
2. Rajma and mango salad
Mangoes are in the season and we look out for different ways to enjoy this delicious fruit. This healthy mango and beans recipe is super delicious with a sweet and sour taste. Rich in protein, fibre, antioxidants and vitamins, this salad is perfect to include in breakfast, mid mornings or evening hungry pangs.
Ingredients
1 small cup of soaked and boiled kidney beans/rajma
1 chopped mango
1/2 chopped cucumber
1/2 chopped onion
5-6 chopped mint leaves
Method
Mix together in a bowl, put some seasonings and squeeze in some lemon juice.
3. Seasonal fruit Muesli
Ingredients
1/2 chopped mango
1/2 pomegranate
2 tsp soaked chia seeds
1 cup almond milk
4-5 soaked chopped almonds and cashews
2 tsp muesli
Method
Mix together and enjoy.
