3 Things That Kept Me Up After Watching Episode 8 of ‘The Kardashians’

So far, The Kardashians has mainly kept the focus on Kim Kardashian’s career and epic brand deals, while keeping her personal life somewhat private. But this week, in episode eight, Kim officially debuts a partnership that has been especially shrouded in mystery: her romance with comedian Pete Davidson.

This is, of course, the story we’ve all been waiting for. Who can forget the media frenzy that followed Kim and Kanye West’s confusing collaboration for West’s third Donda event, a Balenciaga-clad pseudo-wedding held at the end of the musician’s listening party at Chicago’s Soldier Field? After appearing to “remarry,” however, the iconic duo began to consciously uncouple, flooding the media with intriguing visual clues in the process.

Kim wore Balenciaga everywhere she went, later even appearing in a formal campaign for the brand. Kanye dressed Julia Fox in Balenciaga looks during their paparazzi circus of a fling, before debuting a Yeezy x Gap x Balenciaga collab. And, finally, photos leaked of Kim and Davidson riding a rollercoaster together eventually revealed their (otherwise fairly private) relationship on Instagram. These roiling romantic entanglements, brand partnerships, and social media moments formed a compelling constellation of storylines that, until now, fans were forced to piece together on their own.

With only two weeks left in the season, this is the episode that centralizes the big narrative we’ve been holding out for. But it wouldn’t be The Kardashians without some lighter moments, too: Along the way, we see Kourtney partner with Goop to make a “vagina candle,” while Kris preps for her Masterclass course with some very unconventional methods.
