By declining his $27.6 million player option for 2023-24, Draymond Green is set to be a free agent this summer.
Green has spent his entire career with the Golden State Warriors after they made him the 35th overall pick in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft.
The 33-year-old forward could wind up back with the Warriors when all is said and done, but he’s prepared to at least see what else is out there for him on the market.
“We will continue to talk to Golden State and explore all options,” Green’s agent Rich Paul told ESPN on Monday.
Golden State is still the overwhelming favorites (-120) to sign Green, but four other teams have been labeled contenders by DraftKings, via Compare.bet’s Kyle Odegard.
They are the Los Angeles Lakers (+550), the Dallas Mavericks (+800), Phoenix Suns (+1100) and the Houston Rockets (+1500).

It makes sense for the Lakers to be the first non-Golden State team on this list, considering Green’s close friendship with LeBron James. If Green wants to chase a title next year, Phoenix and the Lakers are the best options on that list.
It would be tough to see him head into a rebuild in Houston though, and while Dallas would be intriguing, they seem to have their sights set elsewhere, at least as of now.
Green started 73 games for the Warriors this past season, averaging 8.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists per contest.
