Six people died and 20 were injured in an accident between a truck and a bus in Odisha’s Jharsuguda.

At least six employees of a steel and power plant were killed and 20 others were injured on Friday after the bus carrying them collided with a truck in Odisha’s Jharsuguda.

The incident took place on the Sambalpur-Jharsuguda Biju Expressway. According to the police, the workers were returning on the bus to Jharsuguda town from the plant site.
Jharsuguda Deputy Superintendent of Police, N Mohapatra, said that most employees were severely injured in the accident. The injured workers were shifted to the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla.
Some of the workers were also treated at the district headquarters hospital.
