The alpine skier strides with confidence in her SI Swimsuit photo shoots.
Alpine skier Lindsey Vonn recently made headlines after being the first woman to ski the legendary Streif in Kitzbühel, Austria. Furthermore, Vonn became the first ever to ski the course at night.
Vonn has made three appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. She made her debut in 2010, photographed by Warwick Saint in Whistler, Canada. In ’16, she returned for a bodypaint feature with photographer Frederic Pinet and artist Joanne Gair in Petit St. Vincent. In ’19, after retiring from competitive skiing, she made her final appearance in the magazine, traveling to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to work with photographer Walter Chin.
Since retiring from skiing, Vonn has shifted her focus to various business endeavors, including a sunglasses collaboration with Swedish luxury eyewear brand Yniq. On her final appearance in SI Swimsuit, Vonn expressed, “It feels incredible! I remember being shocked when I was first asked to be in the magazine, but now, after my third appearance, I am finally confident in myself and I think that comes across in the pictures.”
