7 Breathtaking Photos of Alex Morgan in Guana Island

The soccer player has been featured in SI Swimsuit three times.

Alex Morgan is a force to be reckoned with both on and off the soccer field. In 2012, she made her SI Swimsuit debut with a studio body paint photo shoot and returned two years later for a beach feature on Guana Island in the British Virgin Islands.

For the 2019 issue, Morgan invited fellow U.S. women’s national team players Megan Rapinoe, Crystal Dunn and Abby Dahlkemper to join her on location in St. Lucia. (Morgan was one of three covers that year.)

A few months before that cover drop, on International Women’s Day, Morgan and her teammates filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Soccer Federation, highlighting gender inequalities in the sport. Three years later, a new collective bargaining agreement was reached between the women’s and men’s national team unions and the USSF, tackling the gender gap in its terms.

Morgan continues to be an advocate and a role model for girls and women in sports. She often shares glimpses into her family life on social media with husband Servando Carrasco and daughter Charlie, 2.

Check out some of our favorite moments from Morgan’s 2014 photo shoot in Guana Island with photographer Adam Franzino.
