Here are the eight MMA fights left in 2022 that you cannot miss.
2022 has given us some amazing fights over the last nine months, but we still have three months to go and plenty to look forward to. I’m gonna break down my eight fights you cannot miss the rest of the year.
PFL: Brendan Loughnane vs. Bubba Jenkins – November 25
The PFL finals will wrap up on Black Friday and two vets will fight for the featherweight title and $1,000,000. Early on in his career, Manchester’s Brendan Loughnane (25-4) appeared on The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes and debuted in the UFC, he was cut after one loss and then appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019. Loughnane won the fight but didn’t get a contract and that led him to the PFL, where he has gone an impressive 7-1 and now finds himself in the championship after defeating Chris Wade.
Bubba Jenkins (19-5) had a lengthy career in Bellator, compiling an 8-3 record. After leaving the organization in 2016 and bouncing around a couple more promotions, including Brave CF where he defeated UFC vet Lucas Martins for the featherweight title, Jenkins joined the PFL last year and is 5-1 during his run, with wins over the former winner and champion Lance Palmer and UFC vets Bobby Moffett and Kyle Bochniak. Jenkins defeated Ryoji Kudo to get to the championship.
The NCAA wrestler Jenkins will more than likely try to use his smothering style to stifle Jenkins, which is why this is the most intriguing matchup on the card.
