8 Powerful Photos of WNBA Athlete Te’a Cooper in St. Thomas

The athlete was featured in the 2022 SI Swimsuit issue alongside four fellow female basketball players.

Te’a Cooper made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2022 when she traveled to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She posed alongside fellow WNBA stars Breanna Stewart, Sue Bird, Nneka Ogwumike and DiDi Richards.

Cooper was a guard for the Los Angeles Sparks and is now a free agent. Prior to the WNBA, she played college basketball at Baylor University. The 25-year-old is constantly using her platform—with 1.4 million followers on Instagram alone—to advocate for the Black Lives Matter movement. 

She is also an entrepreneur, as she founded Hollywood Luxury Hair, an extensions business, last November. Cooper continues to grow her name as a fashion icon and regularly works as both a brand ambassador and model, as she’s graced several magazine covers over the past year.
