Lorena Duran made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2020 and returned to the magazine last year. For her first photo shoot, Duran traveled to Scrub Island, British Virgin Islands, with photographer Josie Clough. Her most recent feature in ’22 took the model to Montenegro, where she posed for James Macari.

The Spanish model also has worked with Intimissimi, L’Oréal Paris, Abercrombie, and perhaps most notably, Victoria’s Secret. The year before her initial SI Swimsuit appearance, Duran became the first curve model to sign with the lingerie brand.

While Duran’s first SI Swimsuit photo shoot took place at the beach, she switched things up location-wise for her second appearance in the magazine.

“Montenegro is an amazing place,” Duran said of her sophomore SI Swimsuit photo shoot location. “But everyone was shocked to see a girl in a bikini in the middle of the city. We shot in the oldest part of the city, which is different from my last SI Swimsuit shoot at the beach [in the British Virgin Islands].”

She also celebrated her 28th birthday on location with the SI Swimsuit team, which helped her ring in her special day with a cake. Duran noted that she was thrilled to return for her second year and that she enjoys being part of a brand that celebrates and promotes diversity.

“Working for SI Swimsuit has been a dream and becoming more visible allows me to leave a legacy that helps more women feel good and love their bodies,” she said. “I’m working on a new brand for all body types that’s unisex and diverse. The world needs more brands that support diversity.”
