BLIND RAGE: Love Is Blind live reunion delays on Netflix have people freaking out

Netflix audiences were blindsided by a delay to a hotly anticipated episode of live TV on Sunday night.

While the live reunion show for Love Is Blind 4 was slated to get going at 8 p.m. on Sunday, fans of the reality show were dismayed when a delay prevented the live show from being available.

As of 9 p.m., the show remained delayed with the words “There’s an issue with the livestream” and “Hang tight! We’re trying to fix it as soon as possible” displayed on the screen while sleep-inducing music played in the background.

“Okay that’s enough, I’m done my snacks and the show still hasn’t started,” tweeted @kaylaeecles.

The show finally started at 9:24 p.m. ET, with host Vanessa Lachey saying, “We are no longer live, but we are finally here.”

Netflix apologized for the delay with a tweet at 9:29 p.m. ET, saying they were “incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned.” The streamer added that it was filming the show and would have it on Netflix “as soon as humanly possible.”

The Love Is Blind show has been a serious hit for Neflix, attracting a wide audience. The premise of the show is that strangers go on dates, sight unseen, in the hopes of meeting their future husband or wife. Once the daters choose their partner in the ‘pods,’ the walls come down and the show follows their path toward the altar, where viewers learn the relationship fate of each couple.

Netflix recently showcased a live comedy special featuring Chris Rock, which by most accounts was viewed as a success.
