Sammy Guevara and Jungle Boy wrestled last week on Dynamite in a semi-final match, with The Spanish God securing the win via MJF’s distraction while the third member (MJF being the fourth one), Darby Allin received a bye into the two-match tournament.

Thus, Sammy vs. Allin capped off the second hour of this week’s Dynamite in a Number-One Contender’s Match for MJF’s AEW World Heavyweight Championship. MJF, once again got involved in this finale to prohibit a fair outcome.

MJF was rallying for Sammy Guevara’s win since they had a deal in place which said that if Sammy wins, then he will lay down for the champion to digest the pin-fall loss at Double or Nothing in their title match.

Unfortunately, the finale match ended in DQ as MJF faked a skateboard attack and the referee announced Sammy to be the winner of the bout. Thus, MJF vs. Sammy Guevara for the AEW World Title was also announced for Double or Nothing.

However, Then Tony Schiavone took the mic and said that AEW President Tony Khan wanted MJF and Sammy Guevara to battle Darby Allin and Jungle Boy next week on Dynamite in a tag team match under a new stipulation.

As confirmed by AEW, if Jungle Boy and Allin can win this match, then they will eventually be added to the title match to make it a four-way or Four Pillars main event at Double or Nothing.

The 2023 AEW Double or Nothing Premium Live Event will go down from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, May 28th. After Tony Khan’s announcement, the main event of the PLE is yet to be officially set.

In the meantime, the AEW owner has also declared the return of The Owen Hart Foundation Tournament in 2023. No competitors have been announced for this competition apart from the note that the tourney would be special, this year.

Some of the matches for the tournament will take place at Forbidden Door PPV on June 25th. Afterward, the tournament finals from both the men’s and women’s divisions will take place on July 15th in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in Owen’s hometown.

We can only assume that late Owen’s wife, Martha Hart will be on AEW TV in due course to unveil the trophy or present it to the winner at the culmination point. Britt Baker and Adam Cole were the winners of last year’s tournament.
