Did Jennifer Coolidge just ditch her signature long blonde hair in favor of a bob? Well, not quiiiite — it’s all hairstyling sleight of hand!
Coolidge was a guest at the 2023 TIME100 Gala in New York City on April 26th and instead of wearing her favorite swingy and swoopy ’60s-inspired hairstyles, the White Lotus star opted for a chic faux bob with long curtain bangs. For similar red carpet appearances, Coolidge usually wears her hair in a half-updo with lots of volume at the crown, so this low, undone style feels really surprising on the star. Her rooty blonde is pulled back at the nape of her neck in a low, full and loose bun to create the illusion of a haircut, and the long bangs add to the “Did she just cut her hair?” appeal. It’s an elegant and modern twist on the updo, and if Coolidge did decide to say goodbye to her long lengths, she’d look great in a bob.
The bangs didn’t just create a bob-like effect; they beautifully framed her soft smoky eye, peachy blush and rose pink lipstick, which all added to the soft glamour of her red carpet look, especially when paired with that beaded velvet Balmain gown and diamond chandelier earrings.
