Brittney Griner and her wife, Cherelle Griner, were special guests at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday evening.
The WNBA star and her wife were special guests of President Biden.
“Unlike last year, Brittney Griner is here with her wife Cherelle (Griner),” Biden said. “Brittney, where are ya kid? Stand up c’mon, I love this woman.”
Biden continued.
“Love you, Brittney. This time last year we were praying for you Brittney, hoping how knew how hard all of us were fighting for your release. It is great to have you home. And boy I can hardly wait to see you back on the court kid. Remember your promise that I get to bring my granddaughter to see you.”
