According to Shams Charania and Jared Weiss of The Athletic, the Celtics will insert center Robert Williams into the starting lineup for Thursday’s Game 6.
The hope is that Williams will be able to counteract Embiid, giving the Celtics a chance to get off to a faster start.
The sports world is reacting to the move by Joe Mazzulla and the Celtics as they try to force a Game 7 in Boston.
“Celtics going double bigs in the starting lineup. They really like the matchup with Robert Williams III and P.J. Tucker both in the game,” said a 76ers beat writer.
