Forget what you thought you knew; linen trousers are no longer solely reserved for beachy locations and tropical environments, they’re actually as versatile as some of the best jeans you own. According to creator guided platform LTK, searches for them are up 1100%, and we’re not surprised. Mara Hoffman, Boss, Rachel Comey and Cult Gaia exhibited various linen trouser looks on the SS23 ready to wear runways, but it seems its the high-street that we’re all turning our heads to for inspiration.
From Arket and COS, to The White Company and Marks & Spencer, there’s not a single retailer that isn’t selling some ladies linen trousers of their own this season, and they make styling them a breeze too. While they are integral to creating a linen suit look, linen trews are just as effective on their own with a simple T-shirt, vest, linen shirt or otherwise. Wear one with a blazer or waistcoat for that polished, work-appropriate look, or simply thrown over a bikini or swimsuit while strolling the white sands of your next getaway.
