Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley weigh in and face off for final time

Jake Paul picked up a nasty gash on his forehead during his knockout win over Tyron Woodley in Florida last night.

The YouTube star viciously stopped Woodley in the sixth round to end their year-long rivalry, but he picked up a gruesome injury in the process that could have cost him the fight.

During the third round, Woodley accidentally caught Paul with a trailing elbow that caused significant bleeding from the forehead, with the unbeaten boxer saying that at one point all he could see was red.

And in a social media clip shared by his brother and fellow boxer Logan Paul, Jake showed off the true extent of the injury, which looked particularly painful.

“I’m a doctor,” the elder brother joked as he poked at the cut. “You’re fine, it’s fine.”

The younger Paul knocked former UFC welterweight champion Woodley out cold in the sixth round of their late-notice rematch, after 14 rounds of competition against him this year.

Paul was supposed to be facing Tommy Fury at the Amalie Arena in Florida, but the Love Island star pulled out with a rib injury as well as a chest infection.

And speaking about the injury, Paul admitted that at one point he couldn’t even see through the amount of blood that was getting in his eyes.

“All my other fights I didn’t really look like a fighter,” he joked during the post-fight press conference.

“This is some s*** where I can take a selfie and go ‘look at me, I’m a professional boxer’.

“But my team was on top of the cut, my corner stayed calm, one time the blood was in my eyes and I just saw red, I don’t know if that’s healthy.

“I just saw red, but hey, you’ve got to do it.”

And he again reiterated his standing in boxing, declaring himself the biggest star in the sport alongside Canelo Alvarez.

“I’ve done more than enough,” Paul continued. “Four massive fights in 13 months, nobody in the history of boxing has done what I’ve done at this age.

“Massive pay-per-views, knocked out every person that I’ve fought, the only person that’s as active as me is Canelo [Alvarez], and he’s 50+ fights in.

“I turned them all into memes, that s*** is going viral all over the internet and I’m ready to fight whoever.

“It doesn’t matter if they’re a professional boxer or a five-time UFC champion, I don’t care.

“I’m really built for this and no matter what I’m going to find a way to get the job done and that’s what I showed tonight.”

And he branded Woodley a “legend” after the pair’s two fights, the first of which ended by split decision.

“Tyron is a legend,” Paul explained. “Don’t take anything away from his career as a UFC champion.

“I respect him for taking this fight on two weeks’ notice because Tommy Fury backed out of the fight.

“That was a tough fight right there.”
