Now that the Golden State Warriors’ season is over, the wider sports world is pretty curious about what went wrong and many have started questioning the relationship between Warriors stars Draymond Green and Jordan Poole.
There was an incident back in October when Green punched Poole in the face. Green apologized a few days later, took time away from the team and accepted a fine.
But we hadn’t heard much from Poole on the situation. Now that he’s getting ready for the offseason, he opened up about his relationship.
Speaking to Logan Murdock of The Ringer, Poole brushed off the idea that he and Green have beef with each other. He said that Green is his teammate and they have the shared goal of winning a title, but not much more than that.
“I don’t have no answer for you,” Poole said of his relationship with Green. “Other than that, we was just on the court and teammates, and we was out there trying to win games.
“What I do recall saying at the beginning of the season is that, ‘We’re coming. We’re going to come out here. We’re going to play on the court. We’re going to try to win a championship.’ We were teammates. It’s just business, honestly. And that’s really all it was, it is, it has been. It’s just been business. It’s been basketball.”

Jordan Poole and Draymond Green went on to settle their differences off the court and helped the Warriors to a 44-38 record after a 3-7 start to the season.
But it’ll be interesting to see what the Warriors do with both of them heading into this offseason of uncertainty.
