TToddlers & Tiaras teen say mum spent over £63k on makeup

Eden Wood rose to prominence at just four years old when she became a reality television star while starring on the show Toddlers & Tiaras.

Now the TV star is 18 years old, but Mickie Wood admitted to going to huge lengths to help her achieve her dreams of earning the Grand Supreme title.

Mickie, whose daughter is also known for her role as Darla in The Little Rascals Save the Day, spent tens of thousands of dollars in makeup and photos for the pageant appearances by the time she was four.

An unearthed episode sneak peek shared by TLC UK on YouTube, sees Mickie confess: “Probably around $65,000 or $70,000.”

Mickie and Eden’s manager, Heather Ryan added: “Nikki doesn’t penny pinch when it comes to pageant stuff.

“Now she’s spent enough on wardrobe and pictures to pretty much feed every child in Botswana.”

Mickie, who was also Eden’s manager for the events, announced her retirement from pageant life when she was only six years old back in 2011 after winning over 300 titles.

She told ABC News: “I think she’s following in the footsteps of some pretty big people who have done pageants, like Oprah Winfrey.”

Mickie added: “Why not see if we can’t have a Hollywood contract, a reality show, a spot on a Disney program? It’s the American dream. It’s her destiny.”

But Mickie stressed she was not teaching Eden that what’s important in life is to be famous, saying: “No, because so much of her life has nothing to do with that.

“As long as she enjoys what we’re doing, Mama’s going to keep doing it. If it leads to the Miley Cyrus status or Selena Gomez, so be it. If it doesn’t, that’s fine, too.”

Heather Ryan, Eden’s agent, said: “I would like to think that Mickie and I have created a manual that people would want to emulate in the future.

“It’s like nothing else anybody has ever done. So I hope that we haven’t messed it up so much that people go, ‘Oh my gosh, I would love to do that for my child.’

“It’s astounding how far she’s come in such little time,” she added.
