Fans have spotted that a “perfectly timed” question relating to This Morning featured on Sunday’s episode of Family Fortunes, one day after Phillip Schofield exited the show.
On Saturday, Phillip, 61, announced that he was stepping down from This Morning after spending 20 years on ITV’s famous sofa.
The presenter quit with “immediate effect” following a reported “rift” between himself and co-host Holly Willoughby, 42.
Following Schofield’s leave, eagle-eyed ITV viewers have been quick to spot that an out-of-date question related to the morning show popped up on tonight’s episode of Family Fortunes.
The British game show, hosted by This Morning regular Gino D’Acampo, 46, aired this evening.

On the show, a potentially ill-timed question was asked to the competing families: “Name someone who appears on the TV show This Morning.”
The top answer was Holly Willoughby with 31 points, while the host’s name sat in fourth place.
However, viewers were quick to point out that the second-place answer – Phillip Schofield with 25 points – was out of date.
TV Critic Scott Bryan took to Twitter and wrote: “Oh god #FamilyFortunes on ITV just had the question ‘Name somebody who regularly appears on the TV show This Morning’.
“The top answers were Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.”
He then went on to say: “It appears to be just a weird coincidence (weird that ITV didn’t change the episode, though.)
“Reminds me of this amazing coincidence on Pointless the same day Liz Truss stood down as PM.”
Elsewhere, one Twitter user wrote: “Bet they regret airing this question this weekend. What timing.”
Another said: “ITV couldn’t have chosen a better weekend to air this episode if they tried!”
A third claimed: “You would think someone at ITV would have checked the questions, today of all days.”
Another Twitter user however thought that ITV choosing to continue airing the Family Fortunes episode was deliberate.
They wrote: “ITV (sic) probably knows Phil watches this show and would be sitting at home on his own watching this and decided to air this episode.”
ITV has confirmed that Holly will “remain on This Morning” and will continue to “co-present with members of the This Morning family”.
However, she is due to take a leave from the TV set next week and will return to the show on June 5.
Earlier today, it was announced that Alison Hammond, 48, and Dermot O’Leary, 49, would be stepping in as interim This Morning hosts taking charge of the sofa on Monday morning.
However, it has yet to be confirmed who will be taking on hosting duties for the rest of the week.
