MANILA, Philippines — Kiefer Ravena signed with the Shiga for the third straight year even with the Lakes relegated to Japan B.League Division 2.
Shiga on Wednesday announced that the 29-year-old guard signed a fresh contract for the 2023-2024 B2 season.
Ravena promises to bounce back after struggling in the previous season which led to their relegation.
“It’s a new day for everybody. The past is done and we all look forward to what’s next. Thank you for believing in us every game. It’s a new journey for Shiga and with your support, we know we can all get back to where we once was,” he said in a statement.
“Everybody will get better from this and I’m sure the results will be better as well!”
The Gilas Pilipinas guard averaged 10.5 points, 4.0 assists, and 2.6 rebounds for the Lakes, who finished with a 14-46 record in the 2022-23 season.
It will be Ravena’s first stint in the B2.
Besides Ravena, Matthew Wright also signed a contract extension with the Kyoto Hannaryz and Kai Sotto coming to terms with the Hiroshima Dragonflies amid his upcoming NBA Summer League stint.
