Michael Jordan is an icon.
He’s regarded by many as the greatest basketball player ever, with six championships on his resume. And he’s one big reason Nike became the brand it is today due to his popularity.
So, of course, if someone received a text from Jordan, the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, they would be shocked.
That’s what PGA Championship legend Michael Block experienced when he received a text from the Chicago Bulls legend.
While appearing on SportsCenter on Wednesday, the professional golfer said Jordan didn’t have his number beforehand.
“No, I don’t know how he got it. “But my Nike rep texts me and goes, ‘Hey, did you get MJ’s text?’ And I’m like, ‘um, what? MJ texted me?? And I had thousands upon thousands of texts. So I spent an hour and a half just going through all the texts I could until I found him. And then I replied back.”
