Having already secured the Premier League title this season, the derby day win has left Guardiola just one game away from clinching an historic treble with the Champions League final against Inter Milan taking place next week.
So, with one more piece of silverware potentially arriving next week, exactly how many trophies has Guardiola won as a manager in his career?
Let’s take a quick look inside the Spaniard’s trophy cabinet.
How many trophies has Pep Guardiola won?
Guardiola has won 34 trophies as a manager throughout his career.
This makes Guardiola the third most successful manager of all time in terms of number of trophies won, behind Sir Alex Ferguson (49) and Mircea Lucescu (35).
Of this tally, 14 came whilst he was in charge of boyhood club Barcelona between 2008 and 2012.
This included winning all six trophies in the calendar year of 2009; La Liga, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.
After taking a sabbatical following his departure from Camp Nou, Guardiola took the reigns of German giants Bayern Munich in 2013.
His three year-spell in Bavaria yielded a trio of Bundesliga titles and numerous cup competition victories.
However, Guardiola’s time with Bayern failed to produce a Champions League trophy with the team knocked out in the semi-finals by Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Guardiola joined Manchester City in 2016 and he has amassed 13 titles with the club so far.
He went trophy-less during his first season, with his first trophy on these shores being the League Cup a year later in 2017/18.
The Premier League title arrived in dominant fashion in the same campaign, with the Citizens becoming the first side to reach a century of points from a 38 game season.
