On the third ball of the fourth over, a length delivery nipped away from Warner who edged the ball into the hands of wicket-keeper Srikar Bharat. Labuschagne, who was napping at that moment, woke up with a puzzled look on his face after the loud celebration from the Indian fans.
As soon as Labuschagne realised that a wicket had fallen, he hurriedly stood up from his chair. The number one Test batter, however, was napping with almost all his gears on. He soon arrived in the middle to join Usman Khawaja.
Earlier, in the day, India finished their first innings at 296 after 89 off 129 from Ajinkya Rahane and 51 off 109 from Shardul Thakur. Pat Cummins picked three wickets for Australia, while Mitchell Starc, Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon picked two wickets apiece. Australia had scored 469 runs in the first innings.
Marnus Labuschagne scored 26 off 62 before being castled by Mohammed Shami in the first innings.
