NBA fans are outraged by what appeared to be an awful foul call in Game 5 of the Finals on Monday night.
Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon was called for a foul on a Jimmy Butler jump shot late in the fourth quarter on Monday evening. The foul went to replay review, though it was held up.
The referees explained that Butler was doing a “natural” shooting motion and Gordon impeded in his space.
But is that really what happened?
This was ruled a foul on Aaron Gordon.

Fans can’t believe it.
“Hey remember the Finals game when denver was about to win in then Butler kicked Aaron Gordon in the balls on a 3 and the refs reviewed it and said it was a foul on Gordon?” one fan wrote.
“I’ll put it this way: Nobody wants to see that be a 3-shot foul. If that call is the correct interpretation, then competition committee needs to talk,” one fan added.
“What are the Nuggets crying about? If the shooter kicks you in the nuts with no other contact it’s a foul on you, right?” one fan wrote.
“That wasn’t a foul, NBA refs had 5 mins to go look at it and still got it wrong lmaooooo,” one fan added.
NBA fans are hoping this doesn’t end up costing the Nuggets the game.
Game 5 is airing on ABC.
