Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) concludes the Class 12 term-1 exams 2021 today, on Wednesday. The last day exam was held for Home Science (064) at the designated centers across the country. The class 12 exams started on December 03 with the English paper getting over on December 22 with the Home Science paper (optional). Next, the board is expected to release the official answer key of all subjects and booklet codes. However, there is no official date has been announced by the board.
Based on the expert opinions, the term-1 exams have been conducted smoothly and with transparency. However, some controversies attached to the exams when a controversial passage in class 10 English paper was highlighted followed by the difficulty level of some of the class 12th papers. Although taking cognizance of the matter, the board has decided to award full marks of the passage to all the students.
As when the term-1 board examinations are over, students have also started looking for authentic solutions to the questions papers. This is for the first time when CBSE decided to conduct exams in an objective type format. Hence, it is assumed that before the results, the board would release the answer keys for the students’ references.
Releasing an official statement earlier, the board assured that it is working on displaying the question paper and answer key of class 10 and 12 term-1 board exams 2021. Reiterating this, a report published in Hindustantimes.com, quoting the CBSE said, “Although every possible care will be taken to frame the answer key, there may still be the possibility of some ambiguity in questions or discrepancy in answer keys. In such case, the board has a well-settled system to address such issues and the evaluators may check or evaluate the OMRs according to the answer keys provided to them”.
Further, CBSE has also communicated to schools that if there is an observation about the question paper or answer
keys, the same has to be sent to the board after the examinations. The observations and feedback received will be duly
considered on the recommendation of subject experts at the time of preparation of the results.
CBSE Class 12 Official Answer Key 2021 Subject Wise Update:
It should be noted that the official answer key of class 12 term-1 exams will only be released by CBSE on its websites cbse.nic.in or cbseacademic.nic.in. However, the release date has not been announced yet. Once the board releases the answer key, the same will be notified here. Meantime students can check the subject-wise paper analysis and solutions provided by different exam experts and educators.
