Will the Lakers be in the market for an All-Star guard this offseason? ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins certainly thinks so.
On Wednesday’s edition of “NBA Today,” Perkins predicted that James Harden will sign with the Lakers.
Harden just wrapped up his first full season with the 76ers. He averaged 21.0 points. 10.7 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game.
For the past few weeks, Harden has been linked to the Rockets. If a reunion doesn’t happen, perhaps the Lakers will consider signing the former MVP.
Harden would give the Lakers an elite ball handler capable of orchestrating the offense when LeBron James is off the floor. To be fair though, you can say the same thing about Austin Reaves.
Reaves stepped up for the Lakers during James’ absence this past season, averaging 17.4 points and 5.7 assists per game in the month of March.

Of course, the Lakers could choose to move on from Reaves if his market is too rich. Maybe that scenario would lead to Harden taking his talents to Los Angeles.
Do you think the Lakers will pursue Harden in free agency?
