Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto has flown to London to discuss potential signings and sales and one of the primary tasks on his agenda is to push for the loan signing of West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca.
Pinto is due to meet with the Italian centre-forward’s reps (CAA Stellar) on Thursday to discuss the imminent future of the frontman, whose tricky debut campaign in English football was marred by a season-ending knee injury that required surgery.
West Ham still have high hopes for Scamacca and with the future of Michail Antonio currently uncertain, the Conference League winners will need persuading if they are to do business having signed the Italy international for £35.5m last summer.
Roma are proposing a loan as they seek to find cover for Tammy Abraham after he ruptured his ACL in the final game of the Serie A season.
Pinto is also set to discuss the possible sale of Justin Kluivert to Bournemouth after the Dutchman spent last season on loan at Valencia.
