United legend Rio Ferdinand claims Sheikh Jassim’s bid to buy the Old Trafford outfit has been accepted… and said that an official announcement could take place over the coming days.
“Man Utd takeover is imminent. We’re hearing the Qatari bid is the one that is taking over, it is the one that’s being accepted and it’s the one that is going to go through.
“Hallelujah man, we can’t wait. Please let this happen, please let it be true. Look how long this has gone on for, the Glazers have dug their heels in and they’re going [for] obviously it seems the biggest bidder, the person with the most money is going to get the club, which is normal in negotiations but they’ve certainly dragged their heels.”
It’s a saga that has dragged on and on, and Utd fans will be delighted it’s coming to an end for more than one reason with the transfer market open…
