Fans who prefer suspense are often frustrated by Adrian Wojarnowski “spoiling” the NBA Draft by reporting picks before they happen on Twitter.
They may be relieved to learn he’s abandoning that practice this year.
During an appearance on The Ryen Russillo Podcast, Wojnarowski said he doesn’t plan on tweeting every pick anymore.
“I’m not doing the picks this year … The pick-by-pick, I don’t think it has value anymore for me or for ESPN,” he said.
For this year’s NBA draft, @wojespn will NOT be tweeting out each pick.

While the practice made more sense when he worked at Yahoo, Woj said he must be “more fully engaged” on ESPN’s TV special rather than focusing on Twitter.
“I think now, for me, it’s important to stay on top of the trades and the movement and be able to do a little more storytelling of what’s going on on the board, in real time in the draft,” he continued. “Instead of having my head buried trying to get New Orleans’ pick at 14 that’s obviously going to be out momentarily on our show.”
However, that doesn’t mean he won’t report on anything. He’ll make exceptions, such as a major shake-up at the top of the board.
Viewers nonetheless may actually have to wait for the pick announcements to find out who their favorite team selects on June 22.
