On the June 20 edition of The Pat McAfee Show, Paul Heyman was a guest and the duo jointly announced that WWE Fastlane is returning in 2023 after a gap of one year on October 7 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

While no matches have been announced for Fastlane yet, Heyman noted why the event is a perfect fit for Indianapolis, since it’s a kind of speed-themed sporting event to which the host city is familiar.
Soon after the show, WWE officially confirmed the news on their official website and thereby revealed that the company will finally host a WWE Network Specials in Indianapolis in almost seven years.
It was also revealed that tickets for WWE Fastlane 2023 will go on sale Friday, July 14, at 10 AM ET via TicketMaster. There will also be a pre-sale registration for those who want early tickets for the show at the given link: https://www.wwe.com/wwefastlane2023-presale-registration
WWE Fastlane Priority Passes will be available beginning Wednesday, June 21 at 9 AM ET through exclusive partner On Location. Fans can exclusively buy ticket packages before they go on sale in the public domain.
WWE first introduced Fastlane to its schedule in February 2015. It remained an annual pay-per-view until 2019. After a one-year break, it was back in March 2021. In the main event of that night, Roman Reigns retained his Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan.
Since its inception, Fastlane has generally been placed in such a way, so that it could be the final stop on the Road to Wrestlemania. For the first time, the PLE has been placed in a month except for February or March in 2023.
The earlier speculation was that in October, WWE will go back to Saudi Arabia for their second annual event in the middle-east country since November’s Big-Four PLE Survivor Series is a USA region show.
Following this announcement, it will be interesting to see when WWE hosts the second 2023 Saudi PLE. Except for December, all the upcoming months already have their own special events planned in place. The updated 2023 PLE schedule of WWE goes as follows:
– WWE Money in the Bank (July 1 from the O2 Arena in London, England)
– WWE SummerSlam (August 5 from the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan)
– WWE NXT Great American Bash (July 30 at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas)
– WWE Payback (September 2 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)
– WWE Fastlane (October 7 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana)
– WWE Survivor Series (Date and Location TBD for November)
– WWE WrestleMania 40 (April 6/7 from the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)
