Brandon Miller is a projected top pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. The Alabama forward is considered one of the best scorers to emerge from the college game in some time, and could be taken as high as No. 2 overall by the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday.
Miller took part in some pre-draft interviews on Wednesday, and he gave his opinion on who he thinks is the greatest basketball player of all time.
Miller gave a bit of an unorthodox answer, not naming Michael Jordan or LeBron James – the two players most people usually bring up in these kinds of conversations.
Miller’s GOAT is a player he’s often been compared to – Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers.
“I actually don’t think LeBron is the GOAT of basketball… My GOAT of basketball is Paul George.”

The strange pick had the internet talking on Wednesday, with fans unable to believe that Miller would choose a player who’s never won a championship or even an individual MVP award.
Some analysts got in on the action, including the always opinionated Stephen A. Smith.

Smith reacted to Miller’s choice of the greatest of all time with two simple worlds, calling the pick “utterly ridiculous.” He added a reaction picture showing his disbelief for good measure.
George is a great player, so if that’s who Miller is comparing himself to as the standard as he enters the NBA, he shouldn’t feel bad for aspiring to reach his level.
It’s just a little odd that he considers him the greatest of all time.
