NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman turned some heads with his unique outfit at a recent Pride parade. But while many people were shocked, some weren’t surprised at all.
Rodman was at the event signing autographs while wearing a short skirt and wearing a t-shirt that said “Live & Love.” He posted a video of his signing on Instagram with the caption “Love will Always Win????Happy Pride #gaypride #loveislove #pridemonth.”
The post has gone viral with over 320,000 likes since yesterday and a wide range of comments. While some people didn’t like seeing Rodman supporting Pride, others pointed out that it’s nothing new for the NBA legend.
“Some of yall are too young to remember when this man literally MARRIED himself in full makeup and a wedding dress lol #icon,” one user replied.
“Dennis Rodman has been like this since the 90s idk why y’all are surprised , let the man live,” wrote another.
“People getting upset about this have gotta be new to Rodman,” a third wrote.
“It’s so funny to me all these hateful comments. Do you even know who Dennis Rodman even is? If this display surprised you, then you have NO IDEA. You’re not even a casual fan, you’re just being willfully ignorant. This dude has been an ally and a supporter from the jump shot. He’s ALWAYS been eccentric, in your face and unapologetic in his dress, his position, his politics and his expression. If only half of you had a grain of his Charisma Uniqueness Nerve or Talent, you’d be better off for it,” a fourth said in a much longer reply.
