Tottenham have made Franck Kessie a top target as the AC Milan star’s contract runs down. Fabio Paratici has close ties to Serie A clubs while Spurs are ahead of the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain in the queue.
Tottenham are front of the queue in the battle to sign Kessie at the end of the season.
The AC Milan star is out of contract in the summer and neither party has come to an agreement over an extension, meaning an exit is on the cards.
Clubs all over Europe are eyeing a move for the Ivory Coast international, who could leave the San Siro for nothing when the season is over.
Antonio Conte is a massive fan of the midfielder, who he got a close look at when he was in charge of Inter Milan.
According to Calcio Mercato, Tottenham are leading the charge to snap up the former Atalanta star for nothing at the end of the season.
While AC Milan have not given up tying him down to a new contract, Kessie is also willing to return to the negotiating table.
However, neither side are willing to back down over the finances – paving the way for a transfer away.
But the Italian side are dicing with trouble as foreign clubs are allowed to speak to the 25-year-old over a pre-contract agreement from January.
One of them is Tottenham, along with United and Liverpool, as well as Paris Saint-Germain.
But Paratici’s influence in Serie A looks set to give Spurs the advantage in the race for Kessie’s signature.
However, reports that the midfield ace has already agreed his next move are wide of the mark while a feeding frenzy is set to open up in the winter transfer window.
United are desperate to sign a defensive midfielder while other options on their shortlist include Declan Rice, Aurelien Tchouameni and Boubacar Kamara.
While Liverpool have yet to replace Georginio Wijnaldum, with Denis Zakaria being eyed – whose contract with Borussia Monchengladbach is also up at the end of the season.
Paratici has already had a major impact at Tottenham after being integral to the transfers of Cristian Romero and Pierluigi Gollini.
