For the third time in the last few seasons, perennial NBA All-Star James Harden is requesting a trade.
Harden initially wanted out of Houston in 2020, leading to his trade to the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn sought to build the NBA’s next super team with Harden joining Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
The following season, Harden again requested a trade and ended up with the Philadelphia 76ers. After a year and a half as a 76er, Harden is once again asking to be moved.
This week, Harden opted into his contract with the 76ers, but he has made it clear that he would like to be traded. On Friday, Harden’s ideal trade destination was revealed.
The 10-time All-Star and former MVP would like to be traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, according to The Athletic’s Sam Amick.
Report: “(James Harden) wants to play for the Clippers and the Sixers are already in the process of discussing his desired move.”

Harden is said to be upset with the way the 76ers handled his free agency, and Clippers stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are open to bringing Harden in.
A move to the Clippers could reunite Harden with former Rockets and Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook.
Harden has shown in the past that he’s been able to force his way out of certain destinations – messy divorces from the Rockets and Nets are proof – and this situation with the 76ers appears to be heading in the same direction.
