Ahead of its reveal at Fisker’s Investor Day on August 3, the CEO previews the ‘long distance Grand Touring car’

California-based Fisker Inc has released its most revealing teaser yet about its upcoming flagship. The EV, dubbed the Fisker Ronin GT, was first announced in May 2022. Now, Henrik Fisker, founder and CEO of Fisker Inc, has provided a fresh update via his personal Instagram page.

Fisker shared a teaser rendering of the Ronin GT EV, described as a four-door convertible. The picture provided the clearest view yet of what the car could look like once it enters production in the near future. In the caption accompanying the image, Fisker hailed the Ronin as a “super fast” all-electric GT with space for five.
He further described the EV as the “ultimate long distance Grand Touring car with an anticipated range of 600 miles.” That’s about 60 miles shy of the 660 mentioned last year when Project Ronin was birthed. However, a 600-mile (965 km) range is still pretty impressive. Should Fisker deliver on its promise, and assuming rivals don’t come up with their own extended-range cruisers, it will be enough to make the Ronin the longest-range EV on the market. That title is currently held by the 520-mile (837 km) range Lucid Air Dream Edition.

Design-wise, the teaser image of the Ronin shows the retractable metal roof in its closed position. It gives us a better sense of the overall elegance of the car, complete with enlarged fenders, a rear light bar, and a sculpted hood with two prominent vents. The interior is not visible in the picture, but last year, Fisker stated the Ronin GT would feature “a luxurious, sustainable vegan interior that plots a new, advanced design direction.”
No performance specifications have been released at this stage. However, Fisker promises “extremely high levels of performance,” showcasing the carmaker’s engineering, powertrain, and software capabilities.

Understandably, pricing details are vague, but last year, the company stated that prices will start below $200,000. Fisker has chosen its Investor Day, slated for August 3, as the perfect platform to unveil the Ronin GT. The Ronin will be unveiled alongside other upcoming models — the Fisker Pear city car and Alaska pickup. We expect more details will be shared at the event.
The Ronin GT is a fresh idea in an EV market rapidly filling up with sedans, SUVs and pickups. It will be interesting to see how well it performs in the market. In December 2022, Fisker stated that production is expected to kick off in the second half of 2024. We expect the time frame to be confirmed or adjusted at the August Investor Day event.
