Although Ready or Not is still in the early access phase, the game has already become a popular co-op shooter for gamers looking for a modern and realistic replacement for the good old SWAT series.
With an active modding community and a strong line-up of content from the developers, Ready or Not has been growing pretty fast. Meanwhile, more players are attempting to prove their skills by getting high ratings for available missions. However, it would be pretty tough to get the best rating for each mission without a perfect loadout.
10 M45A1
At first look, you might say a secondary weapon doesn’t hold much value next to your primary slot, but M45A1 is indeed the best secondary weapon in Ready or Not. It is strong enough to take down every suspect with two or three successful shots.
If you choose a non-lethal weapon for your primary slot, a lethal secondary weapon will be much more important as your only tool to survive if things go south fast. M45A1 has a high recoil originally, but using a Compensator on it reduces the recoil significantly.
9 SR 16
Looking for something super effective for your primary slot as well? SR 16 is an excellent choice for sharpshooters in Ready or Not. If you have complete trust in your aim and don’t mind a lower fire rate, then you can proceed with every mission using this accurate assault rife.
Regarding vertical recoil, SR 16 might not be the most comfortable weapon in the game, even with a vertical grip. Still, if you learn to kill your enemies with burst fire rather than spraying bullets, there shouldn’t be an issue with higher recoil.
8 ARWC
Most missions in Ready or Not include close-range combat, which favors submachine guns over assault rifles, but ARWC is indeed one of the most comfortable weapons in the game. Despite its low fire rate, ARWC is a powerful weapon compared to all the SMGs with an entirely controllable recoil.
Similar to other ARs, if you are going to play missions with more long-range combats like Carriers of the Vine or Greased Palms, you can benefit from 1-4x or even 1-12x sights on this weapon, providing better visuals on distant targets.
7 P90
If all that matters to you is a high fire rate, then there is nothing better than P90 to pick. With a huge magazine, P90 is the best weapon to spray and pray.
That being said, you are going to have a bit of a tough time controlling the vertical recoil, especially when you know P90 cannot be improved with a vertical grip. Despite the recoil, P90 is still a fast killer SMG in Ready or Not, well suited for close-range combat.
6 UMP-45
At the exact opposite point of P90, you can see UMP-45. This weapon has the lowest fire rate among all the SMGs in Ready or Not, but instead, you can enjoy a steady recoil that will not annoy you at all, even for long-range combat.
If you improve your aiming and go for headshots, UMP-45 is a great choice when tweaked with a vertical grip. However, you can also use an angled grip for a faster ADS if you don’t mind a little higher recoil.
5 870 CQB
Looking for some fun while taking down the suspects? This is where the 870 CQB shotgun comes in handy. There are multiple shotguns available in Ready or Not, but none are as effective as this beauty.
Although the 870 CQB has a lower fire rate compared to other in-game shotguns, if you aim correctly, a single shot would be enough to send any suspect directly to hell. Of course, this is a short-range weapon, and you do need a solid pistol as your secondary, which could be M45A1 if you care about accuracy.
4 MP5/10mm
There is little difference between MP5/10mm and its other variants in Ready or Not, but simply what makes the 10mm version a better gun is its added accuracy. Overall, MP5/10mm feels more comfortable than the A3/A2 variants, thanks to its reduced recoil, which increases the accuracy.
When it comes to fire rate and other attachments, all variants of MP5 are almost similar. However, the lower recoil of the 10mm version allows for using an angled grip in a more effective way.
3 MK 16
MK 16 is indeed a perfectly balanced assault rifle with quite satisfying stats. Comfortable recoil, satisfying fire rate, and high damage on targets are some of the critical features of this unique assault rifle that make it stand out from the others.
There is no doubt that MK 16 has the lowest recoil among all ARs in Ready or Not when you attach a vertical grip onto it. As a result, this is the best choice for players who rather have steady shots than a crazy fire rate.
2 G36C
Generally, assault rifles are far below SMGs regarding fire rate. However, G36C is probably the only assault rifle in the game that benefits from a high fire rate while still featuring accuracy and effectiveness close to an assault rifle.
It is not as great as MK 16 in recoil control, but it is still quite comfortable with a vertical grip. The G36C can get you A+ ratings in every mission if you work on your aim just a bit.
1 MP7
A weapon for the dedicated! MP7 is the king of submachine guns in Ready or Not, with a quite controllable vertical recoil when used with a vertical grip. An ASR/SFMB Brake muzzle could reduce the recoil even more, but unfortunately, those attachments are not available for this weapon.
MP7’s considerable fire rate makes it a practical choice. It is not as effective as an assault rifle, but what is wrong with shooting a few more bullets at the target when you have such a high fire rate?
