Kane returned to pre-season training with Spurs on Wednesday alongside his team-mates that had been given an extended break due to their international commitments, when he was set to sit down with Postecoglu as the Australian boss said he was planning to give Kane “his vision for how to make the club successful”.
He will be part of the club’s pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East and unlikely to force a move, though Bayern officials did jet in for talks with Levy on Thursday regarding a potential deal.
Whether Levy’s stance has softened remains to be seen, but having identified Vlahovic as a replacement may give Bayern optimism that they can bring Kane to Germany this summer – though they are yet to agree a fee with Spurs.
