Grease is very sneaky because unless households are extremely careful while cooking, after countless meals cabinets will be covered with dark and sticky dirt.
Kitchen cabinet doors are a magnet for grease from overtops, grubby fingers, and drops of oil while moving pots.
On top of that, those surfaces that get covered with grime give an unpleasant, stinky smell.
In hopes to remove grease from her kitchen cabinets, one woman took to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips and Tricks Facebook page to ask for some advice.
Posting a photo of the greasy cabinets, Emma Jane said: “How can I remove grease off my kitchen cupboard please?”
The post received over 100 responses and the most commonly suggested method was to use the Elbow Grease spray.
Charlotte Emily said: “Elbow Grease – it’s cheap, amazing and removes the grease in seconds. Wouldn’t use anything abrasive (pink stuff for example will scratch into the shiny surface).”
Rosemary Reid commented: “Elbow Grease and any old microfibre cloth. It works brilliantly.”
Kerstin Flanagan replied: “Elbow Grease spray and wipe off with a microfibre cloth. Then rinse it with hot water and dry again with another microfibre cloth.”
Susan Joyce wrote: “I use Elbow Grease and it works like magic on my kitchen cupboards that are covered in stubborn grease. I’ve also found that it prevents the grease from sticking.”
Kimberly Rowlands said: “Elbow Grease is fantastic at cutting through grease. I used it to clean before painting my cupboards and now I use it for everything.”
This product is formulated to remove grease and oil in all situations. It is ideal for removing grease spots from fabrics and porous materials, and for removing grease from kitchen surfaces.

For those looking to only remove light grease from their kitchen cabinets or surfaces, it could be worth just using washing up liquid and water.
Dish soap is designed to cut through grease and most greasy areas will only need soap mixed up with warm water.
Use a sponge, toothbrush or any other kind of small scrub brush, or even microfibre cloth, damp with the liquid, and then gently rub it into the greasy spots.
To avoid leftover stains, finish by using clean water and a towel to remove the soap and dry the cabinet.
