Remnant 2 will have players running from one randomized world to the next, making every playthrough or rerolledcampaign feel fresh. While most of the worlds are randomized, each have small areas tied to the main quest that will stay the same.
The randomization also plays into which world you’re exploring, as the first world you visit is also randomized. While there are only a few worlds to visit, each have drastically unique areas within.
How Many Worlds Are In Remnat 2
In total, there are five different worlds to explore within Remnant 2. The Labyrinth and the final world are more set, as these worlds are directly tied to the game’s story. The three other main worlds are much more randomized in both the order you play them and the layouts they have. These five worlds are:
- Losomn
- Yaesha
- N’Erud
- The Labyrinth
- Root Earth
What’s Randomized, What’s Not
When players first travel within the red crystal near the beginning of the game, they’ll be teleported to one of the three main worlds, Losomn, Yaesha or N’Erud. To progress, you’ll need to finish the main mission of that world. After completing your first world, you’ll immediately be teleported to the Labyrinth as your second world. This is not randomized, and the Labyrinth will always be completed as your second world.
After completing the Labyrinth, you’ll learn of your main mission in the other two worlds, and get access to both of them simultaneously. You can travel to and between the remaining two worlds to complete them in any order. After completing the main missions on the first four worlds, Root Earth will become available as the final world in the game.
Each world will have its layout randomized, with small areas within tied to the story and not randomized. The layout of the map won’t change every time you return, as a playthough’s progress and map are saved. Should you reroll your campaign, the worlds and order you access them will be randomized.
