African giants such as defending champions Algeria, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Senegal are just a selection of the teams competing in central Africa over the next month.
And with that comes the departure of some of the continent’s best players from the Premier League, therefore meaning that many of the top flight’s 20 clubs will be worse off over the next four weeks.
World stars such as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Riyad Mahrez will be on show in the delayed 2021 tournament, which will last from January 9 until February 6.
