Stay Close was the latest British mystery drama to take Netflix by storm, with millions of viewers hooked by the gripping storyline. However, a very observant fan spotted a major plot hole with Megan Pierce’s (played by Cush Jumbo) phone recording of Stewart Green (Rod Hunt).

The eight-part miniseries explores the mysterious disappearance of Stewart Green who vanished 17 years ago.

He was an abusive man who became obsessed with nightclub dancer Cassie and despite efforts to find him the case eventually went cold.

However, the disappearance of Carlton Flynn led Detective Broome (James Nesbitt) to investigate Stewart’s case after noticing similarities between the two.

While audiences were enthralled by the series, others noticed a huge error during the investigation.

While this was an obvious error, it was missed by viewers who were distracted by Broome and the intense investigation.

Harry Sutton (Eddie Izzard) was Megan’s lawyer and former partner – was later murdered by Barbie and Ken.

However, none of those who received the couple’s help knew about their psychotic and murderous state.

Along with Harry, they also killed Tawny Allure (Isabelle Connolly) and in time Brian Goldberg (Jack Shalloo).
